This Modern Slavery Statement is made by Notting Hill Cleaner in respect of the financial year ending 31 December and sets out the steps we are taking to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our business operations and supply chains. We recognise that modern slavery is a serious crime and a violation of fundamental human rights, and we are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our relationships.
Notting Hill Cleaner has a clear zero-tolerance approach to all forms of modern slavery, forced labour, servitude, human trafficking, and child labour. We are committed to ensuring that our activities, and those of our suppliers and business partners, are conducted in full compliance with applicable labour, employment, and human rights laws.
We will not knowingly work with any organisation or individual involved in modern slavery. Any breach or suspected breach of this policy may result in the termination of business relationships, as well as the reporting of concerns to the relevant authorities where appropriate.
Notting Hill Cleaner provides professional cleaning services to residential and commercial clients. Our workforce includes directly engaged staff and approved subcontractors. Our supply chain primarily consists of providers of cleaning products, equipment, and ancillary services such as uniforms, waste management, and facility maintenance.
We recognise that some parts of the cleaning and facilities management sector can be vulnerable to labour exploitation. We therefore take active steps to understand where the greatest risks lie and to focus our prevention efforts in those areas.
We expect all of our suppliers, subcontractors, and other business partners to share our commitment to combatting modern slavery. As part of our due diligence process, we seek assurances from new and existing suppliers that they operate in line with applicable labour laws and ethical standards.
We require suppliers to confirm that they do not engage in forced or compulsory labour, that they ensure workers are employed voluntarily, and that they provide fair wages, safe working conditions, and lawful working hours. Where appropriate, we may request supporting documentation to verify these commitments.
To support ongoing compliance, Notting Hill Cleaner undertakes risk-based supplier audits and assessments. These may include reviewing employment records, right to work documentation, pay and working hours information, and health and safety procedures. Where risks are identified, we work with suppliers to develop corrective action plans and monitor progress.
In circumstances where a supplier is unable or unwilling to address concerns related to modern slavery, we reserve the right to suspend or end the commercial relationship. We will continue to review and strengthen our supplier monitoring processes in line with emerging best practice and regulatory expectations.
We encourage all employees, contractors, suppliers, and any other stakeholders to raise concerns about potential modern slavery or unethical labour practices associated with our operations or supply chains. Reports can be made through established internal reporting channels or directly to management.
We will treat all reports seriously, investigate them promptly, and take appropriate action where issues are substantiated. We are committed to ensuring that no person who raises a concern in good faith suffers any form of retaliation or detrimental treatment as a result of speaking up.
We are working to build awareness of modern slavery risks among our staff and key suppliers. Relevant team members receive guidance on recognising indicators of exploitation, understanding our zero-tolerance policy, and using the appropriate reporting routes. This helps to ensure that concerns are identified early and addressed effectively.
This Modern Slavery Statement will be reviewed annually to assess the effectiveness of our actions and identify opportunities for improvement. The review will consider feedback from audits, reported concerns, changes in legislation, and developments in best practice.
Following each review, we will update our policies, procedures, and training as necessary to strengthen our response to modern slavery risks. Notting Hill Cleaner is committed to continual improvement and to playing our part in eliminating modern slavery in all forms from our business and supply chains.
This statement has been approved by the management of Notting Hill Cleaner and will be updated and published on an annual basis.
